System Requirements for 2015 Sage 50 US

Since many of you will be installing 2015 version of Sage 50 US soon, it is good time to check the current system requirements.

Recommended System Configuration

  • 2.4 GHz processor
  • 1 GB of RAM for single user and 2 GB of RAM for multiple users
Minimum System Requirements
  • 2.0 GHz processor
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7, or Windows 8 with the latest updates from Microsoft installed for standalone or peer-to-peer network installations
  • Multiuser mode is optimized for Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2012 client-server networks
  • 1 GB disk space for installation
  • Internet Explorer 7 required; Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, and 11 supported
  • Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 (requires an additional 280 to 610 MB for download link)
  • At least high-color (16-bit) SVGA video; supports 1024×768 resolution with small fonts required
  • DVD-ROM
  • All online features/services require internet access with at least a 56 kbps modem
Integration/Compatibility Requirements
  • Excel, Outlook, and Word integration requires Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word 2007, 2010, or 2013, 32-bit versions
  • Outlook Sync supported in Exchange 2007 and 2010
  • Printers supported by Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
  • Adobe Reader 9.0 or higher required
  • In-product demos require Adobe Flash Player 8 or higher
Multi-user
  • Multi-user environments are supported in Sage 50 Premium Accounting and higher
  • A maximum of 5 licensed users is allowed for Sage 50 Premium, and a maximum of 40 licensed users for Sage 50 Quantum
  • Terminal Server requires additional memory when more than 1 user is running under Windows Terminal Services
  • Customer registration  and acceptance of License Agreement for Sage 50 Accounting software products

In Sage 50 Accounting, customer credit card information is password protected through Sage Exchange. To add an extra layer of security for your customer credit card information, you can customize the access privileges of your Sage 50 user accounts so that only approved users can view the area on Maintain Customers/Prospects window that provides access to Sage Exchange.
